On September 15, at the 23rd China Cybersecurity Annual Conference and the Cybersecurity Collaborative Defense Forum of the National Cybersecurity Awareness Week held in Jinan, the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) and the National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT/CC) jointly launched the Secure DNS Service.
The Secure DNS Service is a secure, intelligent, and high-speed public domain name resolution service provided to Internet users. Relying on national-level authoritative databases and high-confidence threat intelligence, and with users’ consent, it uses built-in security policies to accurately identify malicious domains, phishing websites, and other risky resources. Users do not need complex terminal configuration; protection begins upon access. It can effectively address DNS hijacking, malicious URL inducement, phishing and fraud, and various covert cyberattacks. With its precise blocking capabilities, the Secure DNS Service enhances the level of cybersecurity governance and provides foundational support for the national cyber defense system.
The Secure DNS Service will help improve the security protection capabilities of critical information infrastructure and important information systems across industries, effectively respond to increasingly prominent cybersecurity threats, and build a solid security barrier for China’s cyberspace security and the high-quality development of the digital economy.
